Salary: Basic £20,000 p.a. (+ £12,000 OTE)
Location: Near Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire, UK
Our client develops and sells software solutions for Traffic Management and Road Safety Engineering. The company offers a comprehensive range of programs covering virtually all of the design functions undertaken in Traffic Engineering, Road Safety, Street Lighting and Highways Maintenance Sections. These include traffic sign design, road marking and traffic calming design packages as well as road traffic accident data management and analysis. In addition, they are the UK reseller for Transoft Solutions products for Swept Path Analysis and Parking design for vehicles and aircraft.
This position will be based near Stratford-upon-Avon, UK. The sales engineer will be responsible for market analysis, coordinating marketing efforts, driving sales, conducting client presentations and providing first line technical support. Building relationships will be a priority. The successful candidate will be an expert at dealing with prospects face to face using polished demonstration and presentation skills. Skilled with technical terminology, a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation CAD platforms and experience with Traffic Management and airport planning/operations would be a definite asset.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct live product demonstrations continuing to position our software as the market leader
• Negotiating with professionals from every level including executives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with technical decision makers, influencers, and senior customer management
• Conducting end-user training live and via webcast
• Sales conversions
• Travel required
Qualifications
• University degree/College diploma, ideally with Sales or Business Development component
• Excellent presentation and demonstration capabilities
• Minimum of 2 years sales experience, preferably in a B2B environment
• Excellent organisational skills
• Excellent understanding of CAD
• Civil Engineering experience or experience with airport planning is preferred
• Strong communication and negotiation skills required
• Must be a self starter and able to work well under minimal supervision.
The post is initially a one year fixed contract, but will be reviewed with a possibility of becoming permanent depending on success. Excellent working conditions. Full clean driving license essential. Car provision or mileage reimbursement subject to negotiation.
